1938 Cadillac V-16 Presidential Limousine
First in Luxury, First in Prestige
They certainly lost money on every one they built. In 1938, despite a new better performing engine and gorgeous body by Fleetwood, only 315 were produced. Yet it was the V-16 engine that pushed Packard aside, making Cadillac America’s #1 Luxury Car. The V-16 engine was almost extinct in 1938, victim of Cadillac’s own improvements in their V-8 engine. By 1940 only a handful were ordered and the V-16 was discontinued.
Two Produced for President Roosevelt
Only two 1938 V-16 Presidential Limousines were ever produced, both for FDR’s use as parade cars. Few Americans who were alive during this time will ever forget seeing live, if they were lucky, or in newsreels, pictures of the President smiling and waving from the backseat of these ’38 Cadillac’s, as he took a brief break from steering America through the Great Depression. This 1:24 scale precision die cast replica of the 1938 Cadillac V-16 Presidential Limousine has all the details of the original, from the flags on the front to an opening back seat compartment complete with telephone and rifle. With its factory baked-enamel black finish, “hood goddess” ornament, working jump seats, every detail is exactly like it was when presented to the President 65 years ago.

Ford® Celebrates 100 Years
Since it’s founding in 1903, the Ford Motor Company has dominated the automotive industry with constant innovations in affordable transportation. To help celebrate its 100th Anniversary, Ford, working with master craftsmen, has authorized the release of the Special Limited Edition 1913 Model T Speedster. 1913 was a particularly important year in the Ford annals as it marked the completion of the world’s first automotive moving assembly line. This reduced assembly from 14 hours to 11/2 hours and enabled Ford to make automobiles affordable. The Speedster was a custom made model from a blank chassis that Ford offered, and sold 8438 of, and customers could then have coach makers make to their specifications.
Almost As Many Moving Parts As The Original
This 1:18 scale museum quality replica has so many moving parts we cannot list them all. This incredible 225 part reproduction includes moving handbrakes, clutch, throttle and foot pedals, squeezable horn, detailed wired engine, removable water, gas, and oil cans, pivoting monocle windshield, all topped with a baked enamel red finish. Each replica comes with an Owners Title, Certificate of Authenticity, and a letter from Edsel Ford II, chairman of Ford’s Centennial Committee.
