Dr. Van Wormer graduated summa cum laude in biology and biochemistry from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia. He received his doctorate in medicine from The Medical College of Virginia, in Richmond, in 1980 and finished his surgical internship at York Hospital in Pennsylvania in 1981.Dr. Van Wormer is a Board Certified Laser Surgeon by the American Board of Laser Surgery - the only one in Texas or New Mexico and one of only 300 in the United States. He is a Board Certified Diplomat of the American Board of AntiAging Medicine.
He has 2 decades of medical experience in Internal Medicine, Intensive Care, Emergency Medicine and Family Practice. He has a special interest in physics and completed registry requirements in Vascular Ultrasound and Cardiac Ultrasound, performing in the 99th percentile. He subsequently patented his own invention, the world's first ultrasonographically-guided angioplasty catheter, after designing the laboratory and experimentation facility for testing.
Ms. Van Wormer is trained in European skincare procedures at the Yvonne De Vilar School of European Skincare, the Von Lee School of Skincare and the International Dermal Institute - all in the Washington, D.C. area. While Head Esthetician at Natisse Internationale Salon in D.C., Ms. Van Wormer and her salon were written up in Washingtonian Magazine, rating Natisse as the best full service salon in the area.
A licensed esthetician, she is a member of the American Society of Esthetics in Medicine. She has over nine years of professional experience in the best salons on the east coast and in New Mexico. At Natisse and as Head Esthetician at Pabo's Salon in Bethesda, Maryland, she worked on professional and society clients and celebrities visiting the D.C. area, including Faye Dunaway, Linda Carter and Sugar Ray Leonard. |
