As I look forward to a brand new century, I can’t help but remember where I came from. More than half a decade ago I started Great American Products with nothing more than a dream. That dream was to make a difference in people’s lives, in a big way. Many years ago I saw first hand how nutrition saved my mother’s life when death was staring her in the eyes – even conventional medicine could not help her. I was driven to share the value of nutrition.
Determined, and a little frightened, I founded Great American Products with not even a dime in my pocket. The creation of Great American Products represented a powerful instrument to contribute value in people’s lives. Most people could have said I was a little nuts because all the cards were stacked against me. But every time I received a ‘life changing’ testimonial letter from a customer my faith was strengthened.
Little old me, only 27 years old, starting a nutrition company, up against harsh competition. But the competition never existed in my eyes. All I kept thinking about was how I was going to create value for people. I found myself driven by how I could generate value, value, and more value. As crazy as it may sound, I eat, breathe and sleep this stuff. Just ask my wife, Lori, she’ll tell you. I think I drive her nuts sometimes.
I must have been doing something good, because after five years and hundreds of thousands of customers later we’re still growing at an incredible rate.
