The company was first incorporated in 1936 by Norris M. Blackwelder, the founder (1900-1993) and his father, Neal F. Blackwelder (1865-1948). Their first print Furniture Resource Book was issued in 1969, and the Online Resource Book followed in 1996 with the assistance and the counsel of Home Furnishing Netquarters, llc of Colorado.
